The information provided here will help explain the admission process for The International School of Macao (TIS).
During the current academic year we accept applications on a rolling basis and places are offered when they are available. Overseas applicants may be granted conditional acceptance based upon previous student progress reports but an admission interview/exam will be required once the pupil reaches Macau.
The Macau Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) governs when we can accept applications for the subsequent academic year. There are different application dates and processes for First Time Kindergarten Enrolments and JK to Grade 11 Enrolments. First Time Kindergarten Enrolments happen every January through DSEJ. Applications for non first time kindergarten enrolments (JK & SK) and Grade 1 to Grade 11 begin in March.
NOTE: Non-Macau residents must possess a stay permit or residence permit for over 90 days issued by the authorised entity of the Macao SAR.
