The students at TIS have exceptional musical talents!
In the Primary Grades, the students are taught the basics of music theory. They also learn how to dance and create their own musical works. In Grade 3, the students learn how to play African drums, while in Grade 4 they take on the ukulele. The Grade 5 students start learning how to play the recorder which prepares them for Recorder Ensemble in Grade 6.
In Secondary School, the students are able to choose from the different orchestral instruments and become a part of their class band. They receive a well-rounded music education in all aspects of music theory and creativity with a focus on the development of performing skills. Upon entering Grade 10, students may elect to continue to take music.
